Technical and usage information
The exact information processed depends on the features you use and the permissions you provide.
The applicable legal basis may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent or compliance with legal obligations, depending on the processing activity and applicable law.
Eternus uses three primary access layers:
Private — content visible only to the account owner.
Circle — selected content shared with people chosen for present-day access.
Legacy — content and access intentionally preserved for the future.
Legacy access may include Circle access shared with that person. Circle access alone does not include Legacy access.
Users can manage or revoke access through the controls available in the app.
Talk to Eternus uses guided AI-assisted reflection to help users explore memories, people, places and experiences.
Eternus does not claim to recreate human consciousness, replace a real person or simulate a deceased person.
Depending on the implementation, prompts and related context may be processed by service providers required to deliver the feature.
AI-related data handling, retention and provider details must reflect the actual production configuration before public launch.
Eternus relies on trusted service providers to operate parts of the service, including authentication, cloud storage, databases, hosting, communications and AI-related functionality where enabled.
These providers process information under their own contractual, security and privacy obligations.
The list of providers and processing locations may change as the product develops.
Data may be processed in more than one country, depending on the services and infrastructure used.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Eternus will rely on applicable legal safeguards where required.
Eternus uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.
These measures may include authentication, access controls, secure transmission, platform security rules and restricted administrative access.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, fulfil the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary by data category, account status, feature and legal requirement.
Users may request account deletion through the available app controls or by contacting support.
When an account-deletion request is completed, associated personal information will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with the current technical process, applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.
Some limited information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or backup-cycle completion.

Eternus is not currently intended for children under 18.

The Eternus website may use technologies necessary for security, functionality and service operation.
Any analytics, preference or non-essential technologies should be described accurately and, where legally required, used only after appropriate consent.
